A letter from Esther & Emily: Welcome back to Ambassadors!
Welcome to another exciting and impactful year for Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford! We are grateful you will join us to support Packard Children’s, one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation that we are fortunate enough to call our own. We believe each of our members count, and it is when we stand together that we ensure Packard Children’s will continue to be a leader for so many expectant mothers and children in our community and beyond.
Our theme this year is “engaging your family in giving.” Please note new events focused on how to get your children involved in supporting the hospital. We hope you will attend these inspiring events with your children. We know we all have increasingly busy schedules, so we have curated our events to incorporate education, volunteering, and philanthropic opportunities.
It is an exciting time for Packard Children’s! Currently, they are putting the finishing touches on the fifth floor of the Main building, a floor that will serve as the most state-of-the-art and innovative center in the country for children, teens, and young adults with rare genetic disorders and cancers. Upon completion, the fifth floor will be sealed from the public to protect patients with vulnerable immune systems.
We are excited to announce our 2019-2020 Fund-A-Need, Bringing the World to Kids. This project will underwrite programming for the children, teens, and young adults experiencing isolation on the fifth floor. We want to give patients moments of normalcy and joy that they so greatly deserve, and in essence, bring the world to them. You’ll find additional information on our Fund-A-Need enclosed.
Our goal is to scale our philanthropy and give with impact. You’ll be connected with a personal giving representative at the Lucile Packard Foundation who will keep you informed and can personally connect you with areas of hospital that resonate with your family’s interests.
We are grateful to have a fantastic board of directors. Please reach out to any board member with ideas. We hope you will join us in making this year our most impactful yet. Thank you for your continued commitment to the children and families at Packard Children’s.
